Provincial Nominee Programs
Alberta Advantage Immigration Program
Eight worker and entrepreneur streams under one Alberta program
AAIP combines employer-supported, Express Entry, rural and sector-focused worker options with four distinct entrepreneur streams.
Program overview
The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program nominates workers who can address labour needs and entrepreneurs who plan to establish or acquire qualifying Alberta businesses. Most worker candidates require an Alberta job or provincial selection through an active pathway.
Alberta uses Worker Expressions of Interest and targeted selection. Meeting a stream’s minimum requirements does not create a right to apply or guarantee an invitation.

AAIP selection is managed through invitations and priorities
Alberta’s Worker EOI process and stream-specific selection mean that minimum eligibility alone is not enough. Candidate factors, provincial priorities, available allocations and invitation activity must be checked at assessment.

Assess your Alberta nomination options
A province should be selected because your employment, experience, community connection or business plan genuinely fits—not simply because a stream appears easier.
